Arshad Warsi
has recently come under fire from South Indian actors after he criticized Prabhas’ performance in
Nag Ashwin
‘s film
Kalki 2898 AD
, referring to
Prabhas
as a “joker” in the role. This comment has stirred
controversy

Saswata Chatterjee

In an interview with India Today, Saswata Chatterjee addressed the ongoing debate and Arshad Warsi’s remarks. He stated, “I don’t want to say anything about him (Arshad); that’s his opinion, not mine. In fact, Prabhas looks like a larger-than-life man. His screen presence is extraordinary. He was the best choice for this role. He is absolutely amazing in the film.”
Arshad Warsi’s Social Media Flooded with Hate Over Prabhas Comment
In a recent podcast with Samdish Bhatia, Arshad Warsi offered a blunt assessment of
Kalki
2898 AD. He shared, “Maine Kalki dekhi, mujhe toh nhi acchi lagi. Mujhe bahut takleef hoti hai jab (I watched Kalki. Didn’t like it. It hurts me when)… Amit ji was (mind-blown sounds) unbelievable. I can’t understand that man. I swear if we got the power he has, life ban jaae (our lives would be set). He’s unreal.”
Arshad also expressed disappointment in Prabhas’ role, adding, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand).”
Actors
Sudheer Babu
,
Siddhu Jonnalagadda

Nani
have since called out Arshad Warsi for his comparison of Prabhas to a ‘joker’ in the film, fueling further debate online.
