.
Shahana Goswami, who plays the female lead, recently opened up about the same. In an interview with the
Hindustan Times
, Shahana Goswami expressed her disappointment, saying it was very unfortunate that Zwigato was still not available on any OTT platform for viewing.
She mentioned that she frequently checked with the makers about when, how, and why it would be available, but they also didn’t have the answers.
The actress explained that, for those who didn’t know, Zwigato had been screened at several
international film festivals
before arriving in India and had garnered critical acclaim.
The 38-year-old expressed her sadness about not having an answer for everyone asking about the movie’s
OTT release
. She added that she was confident the film would have been loved by audiences if they had the chance to watch it.
The actress expressed that she still had hopes, adding that it’s never too late for something good to come out. She suggested that perhaps the prolonged wait for the film to appear on any OTT platform might actually make it more special.
Meanwhile, ‘Zwigato’ had its debut screening at the 2022
Toronto International Film Festival
. The film featured Gul Panag, Sayani Gupta, Swanand Kirkire, and Tushar Acharya in key roles.
