Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal
claimed that BJP is
misusing ED
to harass ministers. He further claimed that he would stop getting ED summonses if he joined BJP.
In a post on X, Kejriwal said, “This is the truth of ED and Modi government. How people are included in BJP by getting harassed by ED.
After getting the ED raid done, the question is asked – where will you go – BJP or jail?”
Highlighting a trend of
ED raids
being conducted at ministers’ residences and them joining BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party chief further said, “Those who refuse to go to BJP, they send them to jail.”
He further claimed that if Satyendar Jain, who is in jail facing money laundering charges, and, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, who are in jail regarding Delhi liquor policy case, had joined the BJP, they would get bail the next day.
“If Satyendar Jain, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh join BJP today, they will get bail tomorrow itself. It is not that these three have committed any crime, they just refused to join BJP”, he said.
The Delhi CM who recently skipped the eighth ED summon added, “If I join BJP today, I will also stop getting summons from ED. But in God’s place there is delay, not darkness.”
Emphasizing the volatile nature of politics, Kejriwal said, “Prime Minister, be afraid of God. It is not the same all the time. And time is very powerful.”

Calling the summonses “illegal”, Kejriwal told the agency that he may be questioned via videoconferencing after March 12.
The latest ED complaint is related to Kejriwal’s failure to comply with summons numbers four to eight, according to official sources. A hearing has been scheduled for Thursday.
Regarding the ED summons no. 1 to 3, a hearing has been scheduled for March 16.
