Diljit Dosanjh pays tribute to Ratan Tata in middle of his concert in Germany, video goes viral

Diljit Dosanjh paid tribute to veteran industrialist Ratan Tata during his

in Germany. The Punjabi singer and actor paused his concert midway on stage to talk about the chairman of Tata Group. The video has gone viral on the internet. In the video, Dosanjh can be seen talking to the crowd in Punjabi and Hindi. He said (translated):
“You all know Ratan Tata. He passed away and I pay tribute to him.

I felt necessary to take his name today because all his life, he worked hard. However much I read or heard about him, I don’t remember him speaking ill of anyone. He always worked hard, did good work, and helped people.”
Dosanjh also talked about life lessons from the late Ratan Tata’s life. He said “Yahi zindagi hai (This is life). If we can learn something from his life, it is that we need to work hard, think good, help others. Bedaag apni life jee ke gaye woh (He lived his life without blemish).”

Ratan Tata passed away at 86

Ratan Tata passed away on October 9th at the age of 86. He had led the conglomerate for more than 30 years. Tata had been hospitalized at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai in the days leading up to his passing.
In a statement issued to the media, Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran said: “It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation. For the Tata Group, Mr. Tata was more than a chairperson. To me, he was a mentor, guide and friend.”
