The main opposition party in Tripura, Tipra Motha, led by Pradyot Deb Barma, is set to join the BJP-led government before the Lok Sabha election. With 13 MLAs in the assembly, they are likely to receive two positions, according to a senior BJP leader. The development comes days after Pradyot Deb Barma’s party signed a tripartite agreement with the Centre.

NEW DELHI: Tipra Motha, Tripura‘s main opposition party led by Pradyot Deb Barma, will join Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP)-led government before Lok Sabha elections .

Tipra Motha has 13 MLAs in 60-member assembly and is likely to get two berths, state BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee said.
