He credited the renowned music directors Nadeem-Shravan for playing a crucial role in securing this opportunity for him in Subhash Ghai’s film.Sonu added that he had assured them of his ability to perform Western-style music. When the opportunity for “Ye Dil Deewana” arose, Nadeem-Shravan suggested his name to Subhash Ghai, which led to him receiving more new-age songs.The singer also clarified that the track’s notable ‘ah,’ which seemed spontaneous and fervent, was actually a deliberate design. This signature touch was intentionally crafted as a nod to the legendary Michael Jackson.Sonu Nigam revealed that the ‘ah’ in the song was his attempt to emulate Michael Jackson’s style. He mentioned that, although he often couldn’t understand Jackson’s lyrics, he recognized and admired the distinctive ‘ahs’ in his songs.During the recording of “Ye Dil Deewana,” Sonu thought that incorporating a similar ‘ah’ would fit perfectly.
