Is it a treatable condition?
Deficiency of vitamin B12 in women is treatable and mostly happens when you stop consuming enough B12 in your diet or your body is not able to absorb it properly. It can cause psychological, neurological, and physical symptoms as well, and can be treated with changes in lifestyle and with proper B12 medications.
Pale and yellow skin
B12 deficiency can lead to iron deficiency and can cause anaemia in our body with jaundice which makes our skin white and eyes yellow due to high levels of bilirubin and lower levels of red blood cells.
Headaches
Headaches are one of the most commonly reported symptoms of B12 found in women. People suffering from migraine mainly lack B12 and should start taking medications accordingly.
Depressive thoughts
Lower levels of B12 in the body can be associated with a greater risk of developing depression which elevates the level of sulphur-containing amino acid which develops the emotions of depression by increasing the oxidative stress and cell death in the body.
Fatigue
When your body is low in B12, you feel tired all the time as not enough B12 level can decrease the production of red blood cells and can thus impair your oxygen delivery and hemoglobin level.
Gastrointestinal issues
A deficiency of B12 would lead to nausea, constipation, bloating, gas, and diarrhea in our bodies. Therefore, if you’re observing these symptoms more, opt for a B12 test.

Difficulty in concentration
