Published:

The latest episode of

Shark Tank India 3

had some of the most interesting businesses, pitch in their ideas to the sharks. One of the companies was a

health-based company

whose product revolved around

mushrooms

. Cofounders, Jashid and Prithvi, arrived on the show and explained the concept of their product. At first, all the judges seemed a little confused and asked the two of them to explain it in detail.
Prithvi reveals that mushrooms are good for the body and hence they have come up with a way customers can grow mushrooms at their own place. She further mentioned that they also offer drinks that help boost the immune system. Later, they also mentioned that their ask is 50 lakhs for 3% equity in the company.
Vineeta requested them to let them taste their health product. They agreed with her and offered them their drinks and mushrooms. Vineeta, Peyush and others mentioned that the product looks very gimmicky to them. Aman, on the other hand, complained about the smell of the product and said that it is not something they think is scalable.
Vineeta then questions them about their numbers and sales. Prithvi mentioned that the mushroom market is around 300 crores and their sales last year were 25 lakhs. The numbers disappointed the sharks and they said that this is not something they can excel in.

Aman wasn’t happy with the business idea and grilled them for the same. He said, “You guys have studied at BITS Pilani and it is so difficult to get into that college, and yet you are wasting your time on something like this. People are going to the moon and you guys are trying to grow mushrooms. Do you really think it is worth it?”

Towards the end of the episode, Ritesh, Peyush and others wished them luck and asked them to consider other options for their business.
