NEW DELHI: A man accused of killing nine women in the past 14 months in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly district, has been arrested by Bareilly

police

on Friday.
Notably, Nine women have been found dead in the Shahi-Sheeshgarh area within the past year, and police suspect the same person is behind these crimes. The victims were all found strangled with their own sarees.

These incidents occurred in a 25km radius that includes villages under two police stations.

The victims, aged between 45 and 55, were discovered in fields around noon. Their clothes were disheveled, but there were no signs of sexual assault.
