Sarfaraz Khan, a 26-year-old Mumbaikar, made his India debut for the country on Thursday. He was presented the Test cap by bowling legend Anil Kumble ahead of the third Test against England in Rajkot. Despite his hard work and recent runs, Khan’s father, Naushad Khan, couldn’t control his emotions and shed tears during the ceremony.

Injured KL Rahul was ruled out of ahead of the match, which brought Sarfaraz into the picture.

also made his India debut and was awarded the Test cap along with Sarfaraz. He will replace KS Bharat, who hasn’t been able to produce runs.
