Renowned Mexican-American actress, producer, and activist Salma Hayek has recently captivated the internet with her astonishing pictures that showcase her appearing significantly younger than her actual age. Here we list down her fitness secrets which allow her to age so graciously!
Not a gym freak
During an interview with People Magazine, Salma Hayek disclosed that unlike those who possess the “discipline” to engage in morning exercise routines, she has not cultivated such a habit. “I don’t have time to exercise, I am working. I’ve had some 20-hour days,” she said.
Training her body
“I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long. So even when you brush your teeth, you’re working the muscles,” Hayek revealed in the interview.
Walking her dogs
Salma Hayek considers walking her dogs to be one of her preferred methods of exercise. In an Instagram post featuring a picture of her dogs, she expressed, “This is how I stay active, and my four-legged companions serve as my #dog coaches… They are my personal trainers!”
She calls restorative yoga her secret. ‘It’s restorative yoga. She taught me to tone my muscles without clenching them. You relax them and focus on the parts that need to be used, but never with tension. If you’re aware of your body, you’d be surprised by the effect it can have,” Hayek said.
Cardio and training
Sara Shears, who previously worked as Hayek’s trainer, told Shape that the actress has a preference for cardio exercises and high-intensity interval training (HIIT), complemented by a touch of strength training.

Hayek revealed on her website, “I don’t like to diet and I’m not good at it.”
Hayak’s training approach
Her ex trainer Shears said, “You won’t get results by training only two times a week. You should be doing something every day, in shorter durations but higher intensity,”
According to Marie Claire Australia, Hayek said, “After doing a juice cleanse, I’m motivated to eat healthier and not emotionally. Cleansing is like my meditation. It makes me stop, focus and think about what I’m putting into my body. I’m making a commitment to my health and hitting the reset button.”
Whenever Salma Hayek feels the need for a revitalizing boost, she chooses to prioritize hydration. She told Glamour, “Sometimes I put rose water. Sometimes not. Sometimes straight to the cream. You have to see how the skin feels every day.”
According to Inquisitr, Hayek said, “Massage oxygenates, activates the circulation, and keeps the muscles healthy and firm. I cannot tell you, even just for the lymphatic [system], what the massage does for the face.”
