“Big achievement for any player to play 100 Tests,” remarked Rohit, underscoring the significance of Ashwin’s impending century of Test appearances. “He has been a match winner for us. What he has done for us, no praise is enough.”

Ashwin’s tally of 507 Test wickets places him in elite company, making him the second Indian bowler, following Anil Kumble, to surpass the 500-wicket milestone.
“His performances over the last five-seven years, every series he has contributed. It is rare to have players like him,” Rohit added, echoing the sentiments of many in the cricketing world.
