Gandhi contrasted Congress’s five poll guarantees to women with what he said was BJP’s subterfuge, allegedly reflected in a “10-year gap” between passing a bill for 33% women’s reservation in Parliament and its implementation.
“Our guarantees are not like what the Modi government promises and fails to deliver,” he said.

If Congress gets an electoral mandate, it will also appoint nodal officers in every district to educate women about their rights and provide assistance in legal matters (adhikar maitri), Rahul said.
Savitribai Phule hostels for working women will come up in all district headquarters and the number of such facilities across the country will be doubled, Rahul said after his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra moved into Dhule.
The Wayanad MP accused the Modi govt of waiving bank loans of 22 “capitalists” while doing “economic injustice” to farmers and youth.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge outlined each of the party’s pre-election commitments, announced less than a week after he and Rahul gave five other guarantees in Rajasthan’s Banswara. Those include filling 30 lakh job vacancies and a law to lock minimum support prices for farm produce.
