NEW DELHI: Union home minister
Amit Shah
on Wednesday predicted that after the announcement of the Lok Sabha election result on
June 4
, Congress leader
Rahul Gandhi
will blame the EVMs for their loss and then he will book tickets for
Bangkok-Thailand
for a holiday.
“On 4th June, the counting of votes will start at 7 am. The picture will become clear by 1 pm.
At 3 pm, Rahul Gandhi will hold a press conference blaming the EVMs for their loss… His tickets for 6th June are booked, and he will leave for Bangkok-Thailand for a holiday,” Amit Shah said while addressing a public rally in Deoria.
Few weeks back, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took a swipe at Rahul and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, saying the ‘shehzadas’ will leave the country for summer vacation ‘khatakhat khatakhat’ (colloquial Hindi for being quick) after the parliamentary poll results are announced.
“Whether the ‘shehzada’ is from Lucknow (Akhilesh Yadav) or Delhi (Rahul Gandhi)…he will leave for abroad for summer vacation,” PM Modi said while ‘predicting’ what would happen after the Lok Sabha elections results are declared on June 4.
Earlier today in Deoria, the union minister also accused Rahul of scaring BJP by saying that Pakistan has the atom bomb. “Rahul Baba scares us by saying don’t ask for POK, Pakistan has the atom bomb. Hey Rahul Baba, we are from BJP, we are not scared of the atom bomb. POK is ours and will remain ours and we will have it,” he added.
“Samajwadi Party and Congress are experts in telling lies. Now they are raising the issue of Sahara’s refund. Who was in power when Sahara scam happened? Hey Akhilesh, scam happened in your government. Modi Ji started the refund scheme. I am saying here today that we are going to refund every penny of the money of those people whose money is stuck in Sahara,” Amit said.
