The Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer ‘Pushpa 2’ entered its 13th day at the Indian box office and going by the early estimates, the film is showing no signs of slowing down.
The movie which saw a dip in numbers on its second Monday, seemingly managed to maintain its hold over the box office. Sacnilk reports that the film began its Tuesday morning with an estimated collection of Rs 2.27 crore for just-in-morning shows. These numbers, although low, are in line with the film’s earnings on its second Monday.
The Hindi market, which has been propelling the box office numbers, saw a morning occupancy of just around 10.16%. However, the regional markets like Telugu and Tamil, saw a much higher occupancy rate of 13.97% and 15.52% respectively.
If the film keeps up with the current trend, the numbers are only expected to rise higher by the late afternoon and evening shows.
With the early estimated collections from morning shows, the film’s net total has crossed the Rs 930 crore mark to score an estimated Rs 932.12 crore. Of the said total the Hindi collection has hit Rs 573.1 crore and will look to finish the day with a Rs 600 crore net collection.
Meanwhile, the Telugu markets have reported a total collection of Rs 287.05 crore. The total net collection from the Tamil version has reportedly raked in an estimated Rs 49.4 crore. While the film may have missed the Rs 50 crore mark on Monday, it is sure to cross the milestone on Tuesday.
However, it still remains to be seen if the film can maintain its hold over the ticket windows. Going by last Tuesday’s collections, the movie saw a huge Rs 13 crore drop, and recorded a downward trend till its second Saturday.
Meanwhile, the movie is currently powering on to the Rs 1000 net crore mark. The film currently ranks 2 on the list of the top 10 Indian movies (net collections). It stands second only to the Prabhas starrer ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ which has occupied the number 1 spot since 2017.
With still weeks to go and additional Christmas and New Year breaks coming up before ‘Pushpa 2’ bows out of theatres, the film is expected to shatter all previous records at the Indian and international box offices.
