from Chachoki village in Gurdaspur district died of a heart attack at the
Shambhu border protest
site in the wee hours of Friday.
He was putting up with the protesters from February 13 when a call for Delhi Chalo was given by two forums of farmers; Sanyukt Kisan Morcha Non Political and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha. He was an activist of Kisan Mazdoor Morcha. As per the Aadhar card he was 78 years old.
The protesting farmers termed him the first martyr of Delhi Morcha 2.
Earlier nearly 750 farmers had died in over 13 months long protests against farm laws at the borders of Delhi or back in Punjab and Haryana.
Farmers stated that the central government should implement their already conceded demands to ensure more such farmers do not fall prey to struggle.
