Priyamani
, who is currently seen in Ajay Devgn starrer
Maidaan
, recently opened up about how she and her family dealt with
negative comments
about her marriage with
Mustafa Raj
. She admitted that the
online trolling
did affect her and had to go through a mix of emotions.
“To be honest, it did affect me. Not only me per se but my family also, especially my father and mother,” Priyamani told Galatta India.
She went on to express gratitude for her husband’s unconditional support during these trying times. “But I have to say my husband stood by me as a rock. He said, ‘Look, whatever happens, I will let everything come to me first. But all I would say is hold my hand and be with me through every step.'”
Priyamani further revealed that they also faced challenges even before their marriage. She said that she faced a lot of rumours when they were seeing each other. “I had told him the same thing, ‘Stand by me and trust me,'” she said, adding that they decided to walk the path together and brave the storm or embrace the sunshine since they promised to spend the rest of their lives together.

Despite the distress caused by online negativity, Priyamani said that she and Mustafa remained resilient, “It did upset me, but at that time I wasn’t in Mumbai, I was in Bangalore with my husband. We took care of everything and didn’t let it hinder my parents also. We just asked them to not bother much because it’s us at the end of the day. Their blessings and prayers have taken us a long way.”
Priyamani is all set to kick-start work on the third season of
The Family Man
, headlined by Manoj
Bajpayee
and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. She was last seen in SRK starrer Jawan, directed by Atlee.
