Set in the quaint Doldam Hospital, this ‘real doctor’ tale follows the journey of Kim Sa-bu, a once-famous surgeon turned chief at the rural medical facility. However, as challenges mount – from the loss of Chairman Shin to the return of an old adversary – Kim Sa-bu’s resolve is tested. With his former students departing and his own health deteriorating, Kim Sa-bu takes it upon himself to address the staffing shortage at Doldam Hospital by going to a larger medical facility. There, he encounters individuals who bear a resemblance to his former students but exhibit notable deficiencies. Seo Woo-jin (Ahn Hyo-seop) demonstrates a willingness to prioritize financial gain over ethical considerations, while Cha Eun-jae (Lee Sung-kyung) struggles with surgical procedures, experiencing nausea at every attempt. Ahn Hyo Seop continues to take the lead role in its third season as well.
