NEW DELHI: Google on Saturday celebrated
Skateboarding events
scheduled to be held during the
Paris Olympics 2024
at
Place de La Concorde
by releasing a special Doodle featuring a group of birds skateboarding on a rooftop.
The
Google doodle
highlights the
men’s skateboarding events
, which consist of two rounds. The men’s street prelims are scheduled for the afternoon, followed by the final round in the evening.
The 2024 Paris Olympics kicked off on July 26 and will continue till August 11.
Skateboarding, along with breaking, surfing, and sports climbing, is one of the four new sports that have been introduced to the Olympic program, joining the 28 traditional Olympic sports.
The Paris Olympics 2024, which marks the 33rd edition of the event, will see athletes from over 200 countries gathering at the French capital to compete in 329 events across 32 sports disciplines.
