The deadly wildfire in the Pacific Palisades leads to massive loss, leading to a scenario of panic. The uncontrolled fire since Tuesday morning, prompted a state of emergency and the cancellation of numerous events. Consuming neighborhoods, which included many celebrity houses as well, the fire reportedly spread to more than 2,900 acres in just a few hours.
Social media is buzzing with news and updates regarding the catastrophe. In this state of panic and emergency, several celebrities have taken to their handles to express their concerns, lend a helping hand, and share their take on the scary incident.
‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star Chris Pratt, on his social media handle urged people “to come together to support one another.”
“Please send prayers and strength tonight to everyone in Los Angeles affected by these devastating fires. Los Angeles is in a state of emergency and over 30,000 have been ordered to evacuate,” he continued.
At the same time, he acknowledged the work of the first responders and firefighters who put their best foot forward for damage control and tried to save lives. He called them the ‘true heroes’
Chris’ mother-in-law and former First Lady of California, Maria Shriver, expressed the importance of life and relationships, as she wrote – “Moments like this make us realize what truly matters – that things are only things.”
Further, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ex-wife further urged people to pay attention if they were instructed to leave.
Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey shared her concern, writing – “Praying everyone is safe,” while Paris Hilton stated, “Praying for LA/ California”.
There’s another fraction who highlighted the lack of proper management amid the crises. Sarah Michele Gellar, who got a lot of love for ‘Buff the Vampire Slayer ’ wrote – “City of LA, you want everyone to evacuate, but you have complete gridlock and not one traffic cop on the roads helping @cityoflosangeles @karenbassla.”
‘This Is Us’ star Mandy Moore, who is one of the celebs who had to evacuate took to her social media handle to confirm she is fine. She wrote – “Evacuated safe with kids, dogs and cats. Praying and grateful for first responders.”
Billie Eilish, described the wildfires in LA as “sooo scary and devastating,” while Zoe Saldana, star of ‘Emilia Pérez,’ showed her concern with the post – “sympathies with all those affected by the devastating fires in Southern California, particularly those who have lost their homes.”
