​Michelle Yeoh is the first Asian actress to win the Oscars​


​Yeoh’s award acceptance speech cemented the rich history of Oscars.​


​She dedicated the award to her mother and all moms in the world.​


​Moms are the superheroes​

“I have to dedicate this to my mom, all the moms in the world, because they are really the superheroes and without them, none of us would be here tonight,” she said.


​She won the award for portraying the role of a mother​

In the movie “Everything Everywhere All at Once” Michelle plays the role of Evelyn Wang, a mother.


“Never give up”

“And ladies, don’t let anybody tell you you are ever past your prime. Never give up,” she said, inspiring millions of women around the world.


​As she became the second woman of color to win the Oscars she urged all to dream big.​


​Dream big​

“For all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight, this is a beacon of hope and possibilities. This is proof that… dream big, and dreams do come true,” she said.


The 60 year old actor’s mom Janet Yeoh cried out of joy with her extraordinary feat.
