India has successfully conducted another test of indigenous man-portable
anti-tank guided missile

MP-ATGM
), which has a strike range of 2.5km strike, with
DRDO
saying the weapon system is now ready for final user trials by the
Army
.
The fire-and-forget MP-ATGM, which is equipped with day/night and top attack capabilities to penetrate modern armour-protected tanks, has been field evaluated in different flight configurations several times with the objective of proving the technology, DRDO said “
Adequate trials
were conducted for achieving compliance of the complete operational envelope as stipulated in the Army’s general staff qualitative requirements,” it said.
