BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh high court has quashed an FIR and sessions court proceedings in a

Vyapam case

against Dr

Ajay Goenka

, secretary of Chirayu Charitable Foundation, which runs Chirayu Medical College in Bhopal.
The case relates to certain admissions in Chirayu Medical College in 2011, which were investigated by the state police SIT and later by CBI as part of the Vyapam scam probe. The FIR was lodged by Vyapam whistleblower Ashish Kumar Chaturvedi, following which an FIR was registered against Dr Goenka under IPC, Prevention of Corruption Act and MP Pareeksha Adhiniyam. The chargesheet was presented by CBI in 2021.
