Kapil Sharma is busy promoting his upcoming film these days. For the same, he gave an interview to a news channel where he revealed how he once invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to The Kapil Sharma Show.
Kapil shared that PM Modi did not say ‘yes’ to come to the show but he didn’t refuse the offer either. The comedian also added it would be his honour to have him on TKSS one day.
Kapil said, “Main personally jab mila Prime Minister Modi sahab se, toh maine unko bola bhi ki ‘Sir kabhi humare show pe bhi aa jaiye aap’. Unhone mujhe mana bhi nahi kiya, unhone kaha, ‘Abhi toh mere virodhi bohot comedy kar rahe hai…’ aise kuch bola… ‘Aayenge kabhi’. To unhone na nahi kiya. Wo aayenge toh humara saubhagya hai (When I had met PM Modi, I requested him to come to our show. He didn’t say no to me. He rather said, ‘My opponents are doing comedy right now…’ He said something like that and added, ‘Will come sometime’. He didn’t say no. If he comes, it will be our honour).”
Continuing further, Kapil shared it would be fun for people to see Prime Minister’s fun side.
He said, “Main chahunga ki … lighter side logo ke saamne aaye. Toh log bhi dekhe mazedar, hassi mazak waali baatein (I would like to bring out his lighter side in front of people).”
Kapil talked about the time when PM Modi was invited to inaugurate the film museum in Mumbai. He revealed how PM Modi cracked some great jokes that made everyone laugh out loud.
It is Kapil’s desire to now make the world see that side of PM Modi. He added he’d keep inviting him whenever he gets a chance to.
