‘. In a recent casual chat, the actor shared interesting insights about his journey in the film industry and his audition experiences. One of the surprising revelations was that Junaid had auditioned for the film ‘
Laapataa Ladies
.’ Yes, that is right!
Junaid candidly shared, “I had auditioned for ‘Laapataa Ladies’ also.” When probed further about the experience, he elaborated, “It was for the character Sparsh, and I do keep auditioning all the time.” Reflecting on the outcome with a smile, he added, “They found someone better for the character in the film.”
Junaid also revealed an interesting connection between his audition for
Laal Singh Chaddha
and his eventual casting in Maharaj.
He mentioned that his father, Aamir Khan, had asked him to audition for Laal Singh Chaddha. “It is that audition that Siddharth P Malhotra and Aditya Chopra saw before they called me for Maharaj,” Junaid said.
Adding another layer of intrigue to the story, Junaid disclosed that his father, Aamir Khan, also auditioned for ‘Laapataa Ladies’. Aamir tried out for the role eventually played by Ravi Kishan.
On his work front, Junaid’s journey in Bollywood is just beginning. He has already completed shooting for his second film, ‘Love Today,’ where he stars alongside Sai Pallavi.
