The G20 Summit 2023, held in New Delhi, India, was not only a platform for world leaders to discuss global issues, but also a showcase of Indian culture and fashion.

In a heartwarming twist, many foreign dignitaries, including the spouses of the heads of state and government, embraced Indian attire at the gala dinner hosted by President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday night. Here’s a look at some of them.
Yuko Kishida, the wife of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, wore a beautiful green sari with a pink blouse. She looked elegant and graceful in the traditional Indian outfit. She also wore a bindi on her forehead and a necklace around her neck.
Kristalina Georgieva, the chief of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), arrived at the gala dinner in a purple ethnic suit with a golden dupatta. She looked stunning and vibrant in the Indian ensemble. She also wore earrings and a bracelet to complete her look.
Tshepo Motsepe, the wife of South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, donned an Indo-western outfit. She wore a yellow floral dress with a purple sash. She tied her hair in a bun and accessorised it with a gajra, a garland of flowers worn in the hair.
Kobita Jugnauth, the wife of Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, looked gorgeous in a saree. She wore a blue sari with a golden border and a matching blouse. She also wore a necklace, earrings and bangles to enhance her beauty.

Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, exuded ethnic charm in a sari. She wore a white sari with a red border and a red blouse. She also wore a pearl necklace and earrings to add some glamour to her look.
Akshata Murty, the wife of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, added a traditional touch to her modern outfit. She wore a colourful ensemble that consisted of an anarkali style gown that had a colour scheme of blue, green and red.
Gita Gopinath, The first deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund, looked graceful in a sari. Her blue sari with heavily embroidered borders paired wonderfully with her red blouse.
