Delhi to Varanasi flight evacuated due to bomb threat

NEW DELHI: The

Delhi Fire Service

reported a

bomb

threat on a Delhi

to Varanasi

flight at 5:35 am on Tuesday. All passengers were safely evacuated using the emergency exits, as confirmed by the Delhi Fire Service.
According to airport officials, “A bomb threat was reported on an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Varanasi. The aircraft has been moved to an isolation bay for investigation.

Aviation security and a bomb disposal team are currently on site.”
Security official who was on the spot said that, the IndiGo crew before taking off found a note with the word “bomb” written on it in the aircraft’s lavatory.
