‘ and both these movies have been anticipated for a while. This does seem like a big clash, however, according to trade, these two movies are not fighting for the number of screens in cinemas. They both seem to have got enough and clearly, the best film will march ahead.
As the
advance bookings
have begun from Monday onwards, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ has managed to sell 42,000 tickets so far according to Sacnilk.com.
The number is less for a film like this, just a day before release. This is the total number of tickets sold in all languages – Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. This advance number is lower than ‘Crew’ and ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’. The number was expected to be even higher as it’s a Eid holiday and BMCM is a big actioner with these two top action stars. But one hopes that with positive word of mouth the current bookings are higher for Eid and the coming weekend. As of now, based on the advance sales, the film has made Rs 1 crore on Day 1.
Unfortunately, ‘BMCM’ can be expected to have a dull start which may not meet expectations and it’s not the clash which is affecting any of the movies.
