The Special Investigation Team will carry out an identification parade for suspects in the Badlapur sexual assault case to help victims recognize the perpetrators. An FIR was lodged against the school administration on August 23 for not reporting the incident, a violation under the Pocso Act. The assault on two kindergarten girls has caused widespread public indignation.
NEW DELHI: The special investigation team said on Tuesday that it will conduct an
identification parade
of the accused in the
Badlapur sexual assault case
in order to help the minor
victims
identify the culprits.
The parade will be conducted before the executive magistrate and the
SIT
will further prepare a psychological profile of the accused.
This comes a day after the accused was sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the Kalyan Court.
The SIT filed an FIR against the school authorities on August 23. The FIR alleges that the authorities failed to comply with Section 19 of the Pocso Act, which requires any person aware of such sexual assaults against minors to report them to the police for further action.
The sexual assault of two kindergarten girls at a school in Badlapur, Maharashtra, has triggered widespread outrage.
