cover through a central security agency in view of “continuous threats faced by him.” In his plea, which is expected to come up for hearing on Monday, Chautala has also cited the recent murder of INLD state president
Nafe Singh Rathi
by some
gangsters
.
According to Abhay, on Feb 25, INLD state president Nafe Singh Rathi was brutally murdered by a gang, and as per the petition, some
London-based gangsters
had claimed responsibility.
The INLD leader further stated that on March 7, he had submitted a representation to the state government for round the clock Z-plus category security for him and his family members. As per the plea filed through advocate Sandeep Goyat, Abhay has been raising voice against
drug smuggling
, drug abuse, liquor scam and registry scam in the
Haryana state assembly
. “He has also been openly coming out in support of farmers and the destitute and has opposed anti-public policies of the government,” the plea stated. The petition has also mentioned that during his padyatra on July 17, at around 9 pm, threat calls were made.
