Former NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede refused to comment on the Aryan Khan arrest controversy and its alleged connection to a dialogue in Shah Rukh Khan’s film *Jawan*. Wankhede dismissed the dialogue as “third-rate” and culturally inappropriate. He faces corruption charges related to the 2021 drug bust, while SRK and Aryan Khan are pursuing upcoming film projects.

, the former NCB zonal director who led the 2021 search resulting in Aryan Khan‘s arrest, recently addressed the topic in a recent interview. He declined to comment on the controversy and dismissed any connection to Shah Rukh Khan‘s film

, calling it “third-rate” dialogue.
In a new interview on The Gaurav Thakur Show’s latest episode, Sameer was asked about Aryan Khan’s arrest and a dialogue in Shah Rukh Khan’s 2023 film Jawan, which some believed was a reference to him. Sameer avoided taking names, stating he didn’t want to make anyone famous and refrained from commenting since the matter is with the High Court.

He further stated that the dialogue in question, involving terms like “baap” and “beta,” seemed cheap and third-rate to him. He added that such language doesn’t align with Indian culture and dismissed it as roadside talk, asserting that he would not lower himself to respond to such remarks.

In 2023, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a corruption case against five individuals, including Sameer Wankhede, over the 2021 Cordelia cruise drug bust involving Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan. The accused allegedly conspired to extort Rs 25 crore, accepting Rs 50 lakh as a bribe. Wankhede dismissed the charges, calling them a vendetta by certain NCB officers.

Meanwhile, on the work front, SRK will soon be seen in Sujoy Ghosh‘s ‘King’ with Suhana Khan. Aryan, on the other hand, is set to make his directorial debut next year. Netflix revealed that Aryan’s debut series will explore the journey of an ambitious outsider navigating the glamorous yet challenging world of Bollywood.
