Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Devara: Part 1’ released in cinemas on Friday and the film smashed the box office with a whopping Rs 82.5 crore opening in India (total of all languagues). The movie released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada and has been performing the best in Telugu. However, the Hindi version has also shown some very significant numbers and growth which is impressive.
While the film had a grand opening, it saw a huge drop on Saturday and Sunday as compared to Friday.
It made Rs 38 crore and Rs 39 crore Saturday and Sunday respectively. As expected, the Monday drop was more, to around 68 percent and it made only around Rs 12.75 crore on Monday. However, the film benefited hugely out of the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on its day 6, which is Wednesday, October 2. According to Sacnilk, the movie made around Rs 20.50 crore on Wednesday. Thus, the domestic total collection of the movie now stands at Rs 207.85 crore.

Rs 200 crore
in India within a span of 6 days which is quite good. Meanwhile, the film has now also begun to face slight competition from ‘Joker 2’ but is largely dominating the market as now the footfalls for ‘Stree 2’ have also reduced.
Thus, it is expected that ‘Devara’ will see a growth over the coming weekend.
