and shared her views on
pay disparity
. For Aashiqui, Rahul Roy was paid Rs 30,000.
The actress, however, received a significantly higher fee, amounting to lakhs. She mentioned that even before Aashiqui, she was earning more than her male counterparts in modeling. When the film came along, she quoted a modest fee, which was readily accepted, despite it being lower than her modeling earnings.
Anu discussed the current issue of pay disparity among actresses, noting that she never faced such challenges. She explained that today’s actresses often earn half or even less than their male counterparts, a mentality she finds problematic. Unlike many, Anu never had to confront this issue, as her work consistently demonstrated her worth, leading her to become the highest-paid model from her first job.
