Beauty over pain?
Some sneakers have been in the market for too long because of their looks. But looks can be deceiving at times because the design and technology used to create these sneakers lack the very essential components of comfort and movement. There are some sneakers in the market which can cause long-term physical injury whereas some which constantly cause blisters, chafing, and irritation. Let’s take a look at some of the most daunting and uncomfortable sneakers in the market which should be shelved off the stores.

Nike x NOCTA Hot Step Air Terra
The blended rugged aesthetics with a side off-court allure weaves together a basketball DNA and has good trail-ready traction with a minimal design. The rich leather texture has no breathable benefits making it uncomfortable to walk and run after a long day which also results in odour issues. The outsole promises to give a strong style traction but do not let the incredible versatile design fool you.

Balenciaga x Adidas Triple S
Having a synthetic leather upper with a classic rubber sole, the feature round-toe space is just for the sake. These pairs are only good for narrow-feet people, with tight detailing up to the front, and a triple-layered outsole with pull tabs to the heel and tongue. The mesh inserts around the toe box result in blisters and redness because of lack of space, but these shoes do come with a padded ankle collar.

Air Jordan 3 Muslin features
With matching tongues and laces, the heel tabs and lace eyelets with a heel portion around the midsole come with a tinted slightly darker shade. The bull red finish on the sneakers comes with their exclusive logos and forefoot eyelets look chic and classy but the canvas material on these pairs feels very cheap. Only a slight customisation and save these pairs but the overall material would make you uncomfortable to walk as it has a hard finish.

Nike x Off-White Blazers
Virgil Abloh’s Nike Off-White Blazer sneakers created a roar in the market upon its release. Its unique and versatile look with an oversized swoosh, exposed foam, and the red zip tie took over everyone, but soon the pair turned out to be a disappointment because of its poor outer construction. The 100 percent leather and synthetic mix with no breathable space or technology led to people opting out of purchasing it.

Union LA Air Jordan 2
These pairs give the iconic silhouette with a tan textile upper and tonal suede overlays. The high-top sneaker comes with a perforated detailing around the quarter panel which highlights the tag of the crossover of two brands. Promising high-quality comfort, these pairs have a flat sole which makes it difficult to walk with a limited front space which is adequate for narrow feet but not for people having wide feet.
