NEW DELHI: Nearly 50 gold art pieces created by Italian sculptor

The exhibition, named ‘Like a warm, flowing gold,’ opened in December and was scheduled to close soon. The theft was discovered by the host of the exhibition, the
Vittoriale degli Italiestate
.
The stolen
artworks
, valued at 1.2 million euros (over $1.3 million), included a piece called ‘Uomo/Donna’ (Man/Woman).
Although one artwork was found on the exhibition complex’s grounds, the whereabouts of the other 48 pieces remain unknown. The spokesperson for the estate confirmed that the investigations into the theft are ongoing.
The head of the estate, Giordano Bruno Guerri, believes that the theft was carried out by a specialized gang. The authorities are working diligently to solve the case and recover the stolen art pieces.
