Angkrish Raghuvanshi

marked his IPL batting debut with a fifty as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) posted a formidable total of 272/7 against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday.
This staggering score became the second-highest in the history of the cash-rich league, surpassing RCB’s 263/5 against the now-defunct Pune Warriors India (PWI) back in 2013.

The record for the highest innings score of 277/3 remains with Sunrisers Hyderabad, achieved against Mumbai Indians just last week.

Narine’s explosive innings saw him punish every Delhi bowler, dispatching the ball over the boundary rope seven times in his 39-ball innings, complemented by seven fours. Despite being dropped on 53, Narine capitalised on the opportunity, achieving his highest-ever score in T20 cricket.

Raghuvanshi, who missed out on batting in his debut IPL match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, showcased his prowess with a rapid-fire 54 off 27 balls, forming a scintillating 104-run partnership with Narine off just 48 balls.

Andre Russell contributed a quickfire 41 off 19 balls, while Rinku Singh added a late flourish with 26 off 8 balls, further bolstering KKR’s imposing total.
