HYDERABAD: A 25-year-old man was hacked to death by a group of unknown people at Kanchanbagh early on Wednesday morning.
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the assailants.
According to South East Zone DCP Ch Rupesh, the victim was identified as Sk Nazeer. At around 2.30am, about four assailants had launched an attack on Nazeer with sharp-edged weapons at C Block in Hafeez Baba Nagar of Kanchanbagh and caused severe bleeding injuries.
As the victim collapsed on the spot, the offenders fled from the spot.
Alerted by the locals, family members of the victim took him to Osmania General Hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said.
Cops are verifying the criminal antecedents of the victim to identify the assailants.
A murder case was registered at Kanchanbagh police station.
