Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Malir, Tariq Mastoi, confirmed the nature of the incident as a suicide attack.
He noted that the bomber and one militant were killed in retaliatory fire that also caused damage to another vehicle nearby.
During the attack, gunfire was reported, adding to the chaos experienced in the vicinity. Emergency services were quickly on the scene, and the injured were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The nationalities of the victims have not been disclosed yet.
